Blue Sky Bridge is pleased to offer the Stewards of Children training led by authorized facilitator, Robin Friesen-Holwell. This practical training includes compelling video of survivors and experts in the field, interactive workbook activity, and group discussion. It is a two-hour training that goes beyond awareness and equips its participants with skills and tools. Stewards of Children is designed for anyone and can be especially useful for parents, youth-serving organizations, schools, faith centers, sports leagues, and law enforcement. Interns serve a vital role at Blue Sky Bridge as Case Support Advocates. They are often the first friendly faces children and the adults who accompany them see when they come to Blue Sky Bridge. Education Committee
Education The Education Committee is comprised of dedicated Blue Sky Bridge volunteers who work on education initiatives with the focus of prevention and early detection of child abuse. In 2010, Blue Sky Bridge and Boulder Valley School District began a collaborative relationship to address child abuse preventively. This program works with the schools’ staff, parents and the third grade students. We are currently providing this resource to both the Boulder Valley and Saint Vrain Valley School District. Junior Advocates
Junior Advocates is a group of dynamic and involved youth, ages 12-18, who have partnered with Blue Sky Bridge. As ambassadors to their peers about the agency’s work and personal safety, the Junior Advocates bring awareness about the issue of child abuse to a youth across Boulder County. These engaging and dedicated students meet monthly during the school year, participate in community outreach at local events, and plan a fun annual event to benefit Blue Sky Bridge.
