Gina Maione Earles

Executive Director

Gina joined Blue Sky Bridge as Executive Director in 2012. She has extensive experience managing and working with numerous nonprofit and for profit organizations across the country, overseeing program and financial management, fundraising, communications, marketing, events, external relations, operations, and organizational dynamics. Gina also serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the Colorado Children’s Alliance. Gina received her BA from Northwestern University and MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. Born in Indiana, she lived on both coasts before settling permanently in Boulder with her husband and two sons. She enjoys the beautiful Colorado outdoors and escaping to her home art studio.

Katie Ashburner, MSW

Program Manager/Forensic Interviewer

Katie Ashburner has her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Juniata College and her Master’s degree in social work from the University of South Carolina. She has been working at Child Advocacy Centers for the last five years and joined Blue Sky Bridge in 2014. Katie is trained in the Childfirst South Carolina Forensic Interview protocol and the National Children’s Advocacy Center’s protocol for interviewing children.  As a forensic interviewer, she is responsible for gathering the greatest amount of reliable information in a child-sensitive, developmentally-appropriate and legally-defensible manner during interviews with suspected child abuse victims. Katie also manages our Child and Family Advocacy Program and the development of new programs for the center.

Robin Friesen-Holwell, MS-MFT

Prevention Education Manager

Robin Friesen-Holwell joined Blue Sky Bridge as the Prevention Education Coordinator in 2014.  She has a Master’s degree of Science in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage, Family, and Child Therapy from University of Phoenix and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from University of Colorado at Boulder. Robin has had various positions working with children school-age and younger, and she worked as a Family Support Advocate during her Master’s level internship at Blue Sky Bridge. Her role as Prevention Education Manager enables her to work with a team of volunteers within the Boulder Valley and St. Vrain Valley School Districts educating third grade students about touching rules and body safety, identifying trusted adults, and the “No, Go, Tell Plan”.  She is committed to the goal of expanding awareness of these issues in order to create a safer community for children and families.

Sue Koral

Office Manager
Sue joined Blue Sky Bridge in January of 2015.  She has degree in business administration and her professional experience includes office management, project and property management, and benefit management and administration. Sue has extensive exposure to non profit organizations through her volunteer efforts. She has been a part of non profit fund raising teams, event planning, and donor solicitation.  Some of the non profit organizations that Sue has worked for include the Boulder Shelter for the Homeless, Boulder County Cares, and the community outreach programs at Sacred Heart of Jesus parish.

Kim Lowery-Grimm

Forensic Interviewer

Kim Lowery Grimm earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology from Southwest Baptist University. She has been working at Child Advocacy Centers since 2005 and joined Blue Sky Bridge in 2016. Kim is trained to utilize the National Children’s Advocacy Center’s Protocol, the Cornerhouse Protocol, and the Colorado Forensic Interviewing Model. As a forensic interviewer, Kim gathers information from children in their own words about suspected child abuse and/or witness to crime. Interviews are conducted in a child friendly, developmentally appropriate, neutral and legally defensible manner. Kim also participates as a state trainer for the Colorado Forensic Interviewing Model. Kim enjoys the outdoors, hiking and spending time with her husband and dogs.

Faith Motter, MSW

Director of Development and Communications

Faith Motter joined the team at Blue Sky Bridge in November 2015. Faith has over 8 years of experience as a fundraiser. Her love for fundraising began in New York City in 2007 where she co-founded and directed an organization, Restore NYC, whose mission is to end sex trafficking in New York and restore the well-being and independence of foreign national survivors. While at Restore, Faith was responsible for financially building the organization from the ground up. Prior to joining Blue Sky Bridge, Faith was the Director of Development for a youth-serving nonprofit in northwestern North Carolina where she managed all aspects of fundraising, marketing, and communication. A native to Philadelphia, Faith received a Bachelor’s degree in Social Administration from Temple University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University.

Maytal Schmidt, LSW

Family Support Advocate

Maytal Schmidt worked at Blue Sky Bridge in 2013 as a Family Support Advocate Intern. After receiving her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Smith College, Maytal returned to Blue Sky Bridge to join the team. Her experience includes working overseas with survivors of sexual assault, genocide, African refugees, and Asylum seekers. She has also worked with families with HIV/AIDS, substance dependency and mental health diagnoses. Additionally, Maytal has created and implemented curriculum around sexual identities and empowerment. As a Family Support Advocate, Maytal provides counseling, support, and resources to families affected by childhood abuse through crisis intervention, crisis calls and prevention education efforts.

Sarah Vincent

Development and Events Manager

Sarah joined Blue Sky Bridge in 2016 after more than a decade fundraising for many local non-profits and school organizations. She has a degree in business management and experience with marketing program management, product management and event management. Sarah serves on the major event committee for There With Care, a Boulder-based non-profit serving families in medical crisis, She has also served on the board for Advocates for Healthy Communities. Sarah is an avid skier and outdoor enthusiast enjoying all aspects of what Colorado has to offer with her husband, two children and dog Sunny.

Trish Wood

Prevention Education Associate

Trish Wood joined BSB in 2016. Trish has been working in the areas of violence prevention, cause marketing and community outreach for most of her career. Most recently, Trish worked at LEVI (Longmont Ending Violence Initiative) where she was responsible for domestic violence prevention/education and victim assistance. Trish also helped initiate the collaborative grant with BSB to develop Project Pinwheel, a child sexual abuse awareness project that targets the Longmont community. Trish holds a Masters in Journalism from the University of Colorado and is committed to spreading the prevention message throughout our community.
