The Role
We’re seeking a visionary and strategic Executive Director to lead Blue Sky Bridge into its next chapter of growth and impact. This is a chance to shape the future of our organization and make a profound impact on Boulder County. As our Executive Director, you will inspire and guide a talented leadership team, work closely with an engaged Board of Directors, and champion our mission with creativity and passion.
You will dive into a well-crafted five-year strategic plan, spearhead community development, oversee program expansion, and pave the way for a second permanent facility in Longmont. Your innovative leadership and problem-solving skills will drive our mission forward, build essential relationships with partners and supporters, and represent us on local and state-wide councils. Your financial acumen will ensure our continued success and stability.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic Visionary (30%): Lead the implementation of our strategic plan, adapting it to new opportunities and challenges. Foster innovation and ensure alignment with our mission and goals.
- Community and Partnership Builder (30%): Cultivate and maintain crucial relationships with donors, community partners, and stakeholders. Represent Blue Sky Bridge with passion and professionalism in public forums and councils.
- Operational Leader (20%): Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring effective administration, program management, and staff coordination. Implement and refine systems for efficiency and impact.
- Financial Steward (20%): Collaborate with the Board and Development Director to manage finances, secure funding, and maintain a strong financial foundation. Drive fundraising efforts and comply with grant requirements.
What You Bring
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record in executive roles, with a strong background in business management (non-profit or for profit), strategic planning, and team leadership.
- Growth Mindset and Compassionate Leadership: A history of building, developing and nurturing high performing teams. An optimistic mindset.
- Passion for Our Mission: Deep commitment to child advocacy and a drive to make a difference in the lives of children and families.
- Financial Acumen: Experience in budget management, fundraising, and financial oversight.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including community leaders, supporters, and board members.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to navigate complex challenges, envision innovative solutions, and guide the organization toward its goals.

Pay Transparency
A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $140,000 to $160,000. Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision/401K/Life and AD&D, Parental Leave, Wellness Benefits, and Training opportunities. First year PTO accrues monthly at a rate of 17 vacation days per year plus sick days. Blue Sky Bridge also recognizes 12 paid holidays per year.
