With approximately half of the children seen for a forensic interview at Blue Sky Bridge living in the city of Longmont, a goal for us in 2026 was to raise awareness and increase financial support with a new special event. Now more than ever, we need support from our community to help bridge gaps in our budget caused by cuts to federal funding sources. ‘Light the Way’ was held at the historic Dickens Opera House on April 23, 2026. One hundred guests helped us recognize April as Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) month. The program was a wonderful way to share our mission with the community.
Thanks to our staff, featured speakers and supporters – ‘Light the Way’ raised over $13,000 in critical funding for our mission.
We look forward to celebrating with the city of Longmont again in 2027!
