Position Summary
Blue Sky Bridge is seeking a relationship-driven and organized Development Manager to support donor stewardship, fundraising initiatives, and community engagement efforts. This role works closely with the Development Director to cultivate meaningful donor and community relationships, support fundraising campaigns and events, and help ensure a strong and consistent donor experience. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about advancing Blue Sky Bridge’s mission.
Position Summary The Development Manager plays a key role in advancing Blue Sky Bridge’s mission by leading donor stewardship, fundraising support, and community engagement efforts. This individual will work closely with the Development Director and internal teams to cultivate meaningful relationships with donors, sponsors,community partners, and supporters while ensuring a consistent and impactful donor experience.
This is a donor-facing position ideal for someone who is passionate about relationship-building, storytelling, and mission-driven fundraising. The ideal candidate is collaborative, adaptable, self-motivated, and comfortable balancing strategic relationship management with day-to-day operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Major Donor Stewardship & Fundraising
- Build, manage, and steward relationships with major donors, sponsors, and community supporters in partnership with the Development Director.
- Coordinate donor cultivation strategies, meetings, acknowledgments, pledgetracking, and ongoing stewardship efforts.
- Support annual fundraising campaigns, appeals, sponsorships, and donorevents.
- Assist with donor portfolio management and strategic account assignments.
- Prepare donor correspondence, reports, presentations, and stewardshipmaterials.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen donor retention and long-termengagement.
- Conduct prospect research to identify new funding opportunities including individual, corporate, foundation, and community partnerships.
- Implement and support corporate partnership and community engagement strategies.
Marketing & Communications
- Assist with storytelling and marketing initiatives that highlight Blue Sky Bridge’s mission and impact through donor communications and engagement efforts including newsletters, email campaigns, appeals, and stewardship materials.
- Help maintain consistent organizational branding and messaging across communication platforms.
- Support the development of donor and event collateral materials including sponsorship materials, presentations, and event communications.
Events & Community Engagement
- Support planning and execution of fundraising and community events,including A Singular Feast and other agency events.
- Coordinate event logistics, sponsorship communication, timelines, vendors,and follow-up activities.
- Assist with sponsorship solicitation, donor engagement, and eventstewardship.
- Represent Blue Sky Bridge professionally within the community and maintain collaborative relationships with supporters and partners.
Database & Administrative Management
- Maintain donor records, communication tracking, dashboards, and reporting in Salesforce.
- Utilize Constant Contact for donor and community email communications.
- Organize and maintain development files and collaborative materials using Google Drive.
- Create communication and marketing materials using Canva.
- Support development operations, onboarding documentation, and administrative processes.
- Coordinate with consultants and vendors regarding database, website, and communications systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing,business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising,donor relations, communications, or related work.
- Experience managing donor relationships and stewardship activities required.
- Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM/database systems required.
- Experience with Constant Contact, Canva, Google Workspace, and social media platforms preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-pacedenvironment.
- Experience coordinating fundraising events preferred.
- Must hold a valid Colorado driver’s license or have the ability to obtain one.

Work Schedule & Location
- Full-time exempt position.
