Blue Sky Bridge offers many educational programs in the community.

From the founding of our organization, child abuse prevention education has been a cornerstone of our activities. The children’s advocacy program intervenes in child abuse that is already occurring; the education program seeks to stop abuse before it starts be educating children, parents and other members of the community about how to keep our children safe.

Professional Conferences

Law enforcement officers, child protection intake workers, and prosecutors attend our forensic trainings in order to acquire the skills they need to conduct useful and productive interviews.

School-Based Prevention Education

In 2010, Blue Sky Bridge launched a pilot program with the Boulder Valley School District to provide prevention education to 3rd grade children, their parents, and teachers.

Research Projects

Blue Sky Bridge is committed to adapting to the growing and changing needs of our community.

We strive to stay progressive and cutting edge in our professional work to ensure that children and families are offered the best services available.  In order to maintain this goal, interns at Blue Sky Bridge are asked to conduct in depth research on focus topics assigned to them at the commencement of their internship. Some of the topics currently being researched are:

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Animal Assisted Therapy & it’s use with child abuse victims
Domestic Violence & Child Abuse
Leaders in child abuse prevention
Leaders in child abuse treatment
Substance Abuse as related to Child Abuse
